BASICS OF ELEMENTAL POWERS
- To use the element you must have the element or near you.
- No player will ever have the ability to create a tsunami, tornado or other uses that could destroy the island.
- Powers may not be used on a person internally such as blood boiling
- Current limit 2 players per power (we will be adding more as the sim grows)
BASICS OF MENTAL POWERS
Any power that manipulates a persons, mind, emotions or feelings
- Mental powers require either eye contact or hand contact unless otherwise stated.
- Mental powers take a lot of focus. You may not expell as much energy but if you break you concentration.. the power stops. Basically hard to do something else until the power has been fully used.
- Consent is a MUST when it comes to Mental powers.
- Mental Powers and Metagaming In roleplay can often been difficult to play because many require a level of metagaming to be successful. For the use of the powers it is very important that consent from the other player or players in the scene before the power is used. These powers all require conversation with the other player. You need to work with them in order to make this power work. In cases where a player will not consent to it a dice will be used. Two out of three rolls wins.
Other examples...
EXAMPLE #1
Lyon was kidnapped, we don't know who took her or where she was taken to. I am going to use my power to see the future to find out where she is. For this scenario, the player with the power must get consent from Lyon, the kidnapper/kidnappers before finding out any of this information. Once consent is given a dice roll will be used to see if it works. (In cases like this make sure the player wants to be rescued before rushing in to save the day.. they may want to roleplay out some capture time)
EXAMPLE #2
I want to spy on someone using astral projection. Consent must be given by all players you are spying on and you must post being at the scene. This is followed by a dice roll to see if you were successful.

I am using mind control on a person. Consent most be given and limits must be respected.

Players in Mythia can choose if their characters favor the darker side or lighter sides. This goes for powers as well. Most powers can be used for good and evil. If you have any questions about how to change one of these powers to a darker one. Talk to an admin we are happy to help.
