BASIC OF ANIMAL CONTROL POWER
- To control an animal you have to have some knowledge of that animal. You can learn about more animals by visiting the Mythian library and needs to be rpd out to gain the knowledge. This goes for any of the animal power.
- You cannot manifest animals that are not on the island to come to the island. (For example we don't have unicorns, dragons, or dinosaurs on the island so therefore they cannot come to your aid
- in order to have control over an animal, the animal needs to be within your eye sight
- Animals can only do the things they can do in real life.. Animals can't talk or write notes.

First you will choose the type of the animal control to focus on. As you progress you will (if you want become strong in all three areas)

- Animals do not fear them, in fact will even come up to a person with this power. Animals remain calm around them. (Thinks Snow White and the bird that landed on her fingers)
- By simply making eye contact with any animal, they can calm that animal down to state of peacefulness.
- Can let out a small whistle and silences all animals in the forest for two post rounds.

ANIMAL MENTAL LINK ABILITIES LEVEL1
The Companion -CHOOSE ONE ANIMAL AS YOUR PET
Limits:
Starting off this animal may be no bigger than a wolf. (The link will not work with a changeling).
This animal cannot be a mythological animal.
Animal can only do what is in their limits in real life.
The animals have no magical powers.
If the animal gets hurt or killed the owner will feel the pain, fear etc as it happens .
- This animal will follow you and even watch after you as you sleep. (think witch's familiar).
- This is a very powerful mental and emotional link between pet and owner
- The animal is very protective of you and will protect you. This NPC animal can only detain an attacker for 2 post rounds, if you win the rolls.
- The animal will be able to understand it's owner.
- The animal can fetch things for you that are close by, and will snuggle you when you are sad.
- In some cases the animals can get help. (Rule of thumb, if the animal can be trained in rl to do it. It can do it in rp
- Certain animals can fetch an item. A dog can't carry a glass of wine to you.. but he may be able to roll you the bottle. Think rl limits.
- Animals can be sent to find help but they cannot talk. If the animal isn't recognize by the person as your animal. They can just dismiss. These animals cannot speak. So use this accordingly.

Feel of the Wild
Animals are sensitive to inclement weather, sensing danger or sometimes even disease. When danger is coming they flee. A person with animal control can sense the danger as well. The User simply focus' their thoughts on their surrounding area. If there is potential danger (doesn't mean their is but potential) the player may sense it up to 40 meters. This ability requires a Dice roll with the player that you are sensing and OOC communications.
Limits:
This ability doesn't allow you do sense if people are close.. only if there is danger. If a player tells you OOC they are not approaching in a threatening manner, then you will not know they are coming.
This makes the user have a sense of panic and gives them the urge to flee and hide.

The Companion
Animal Emotion
This powers allows you to send your emotions to an animal close by.
For example, if you are scared you can send that emotion out to the birds nearby causing them to fly and scatter around you. (Small animals like birds you can have up to 10 react to your emotion. Where as a larger animal like a wolf only 1 will react. These animals will not cause harm but will block or distract an attacker for to 2 post rounds depending on the dice roll.
- You may choose a second animal.If your first animal is a small one, the second animal can be larger. If your first animal is on the larger side then your second animals should be smaller.
- The animals will still be protective and depending on the dice roll will be able to put off an attacker for up to 3 post rounds.
- The player can now able to see through the eyes of their companion. They can send their animal out to watch people or look for something. At this level it is only sight.

The player can send their animals out so spy on others.
Then animals not only do they have sight but also sound now.

You will need to have an OOC conversation with those you are spying on.
Animals cannot hear or see through doors and walls.
The animal remains watching till it is spotted by another player.

Companion animals are linked directly to you. The longer you have them the more the connection does the human and animal have together. Unlike animal control, this animal deeply cares for you. The link is so strong if you are seeing through there eyes and they are kill you will feel that pain and sadness.

User will choose one animal, this animal will be considered their spirit animal.

- The users will have a small necklace or totem of that animal. As long as they have that object with them they can pull that animals ability to them.
- For user will be able to pull one ability at a time, from that animal when needed. For example a cat.. they can gain balance or agility. It will not provide the user with extra strength or speed. They may choose to use an extra sense, like seeing at night but can only choose one.

- For this level the user is no longer held to just one real world animal. They may choose up to three more animals. (Player must have knowledge of the animal to call them.
- For user will be able to pull one ability, at a time, from that animal.
- The user will need a necklace, charm or totem with the different animals on them to carry with them. (One of each animal)
- The user can find a carpenter or jewelry maker to help make it for them.. For example a cat.. they can gain balance or agility. It will not provide the user with extra strength or speed. They may choose to use an extra sense, like seeing at night but can only choose one.

- For user will be able to pull one ability from that animal when needed. For example a cat.. they can gain balance or agility. They may choose to use an extra sense, like seeing at night but can only choose one.
- You can now gain a short burst of strength or speed from the animal. ( 2 post round limit)
Limitations: A player cannot take abilities that they do not have. For example: If you don't have wings you can't fly and fish will not give you the ability to breath underwater.

- These animals can help distract or block you but will not attack.

- These animals are not like companion animals, they will come when called but if you lose the roll on your command, they will walk away as they are not linked to you like the companion animal is.
- If asking animals about something they saw in the woods, you need to check with the players that were there first. Tell them what you are looking for.. roll.. and they should give you the information of what the animal might of scene.

Animal Control Power Limits
- Animal control does not apply to the Domaci, Beast or Humans on the island.
- The person with animal control may be able to calm a Minotaur but will not be able to control him/her.
- The person with this power can control a changeling in animal form only, however they are more resistance than an normal animal.
- No person knows all the animals in the world, You must have ic knowledge of that animal if you are controlling it. You may be asked to justify this icly if the animals are not common.
- Using this power often calls for using NPC animals. It is important that you post accordingly to set the scene for you to use the animals If you are npcing animals:
this, then they are not there.
b. If you are entering a scene that has already started, you will need to ask the players in the scene if they have posted animals
around and ask permission to do so as your are changing the setting.
- There are animals all over the island but there will be less animals and access to animals in the town or the village. Play accordingly.
- Animals are specific to certain areas. For example, wolves live in the woods, they will not come to your aid on the beach.
ANIMAL Q & A
When I use this power to summon an animal or command an animal, Who do I role against?
As you are not using this power on another player you roll.. if the number is 5 and above it is successful. If it is below five it fails.
When do I roll against someone using this power?
You roll if against a person when the animal is attacking another players, trying to block or distract another player of if they are successfully spying on another player.
Do I have to choose one of the powers and level it up before I get another?
No, you may mix and match
As you are not using this power on another player you roll.. if the number is 5 and above it is successful. If it is below five it fails.
When do I roll against someone using this power?
You roll if against a person when the animal is attacking another players, trying to block or distract another player of if they are successfully spying on another player.
Do I have to choose one of the powers and level it up before I get another?
No, you may mix and match
HOW DO I USE MY ANIMAL CONTROL POWER?
- Two post to use your power
- First post is pulling the energy to you
- Pushing your power towards whatever you are using it on.
- The Dice roll is used for all animal control.
- If the player is doing something on their own such as controlling their companion they must roll. If the roll is 5 or higher, there their attempt was successful. The player should have eye contact with the animal when they are giving it a command.
- If the animal is being used to protect find out information. Dice will be done by the user and with one of the players (at least) their animal is interacting with. Best 2 out of the three wins.
- Example: User's second post will include the power being used, focus on the animal and setting up the animal to be in place.
- Dice is rolled by both players. High roll wins. The player will then post based on the results. The User will post the exactly what the animal is doing. Both players roll. High roll wins. If the User wins again no more rolls are needed. If the User losers. then another round of post takes place.
- First player to win 2 out of 3 rolls wins. After three rolls, the player using the power will recall the animal and will need at least 2 hours to rest.
POWERS AND ABILITIES IN MYTHIA
Where do the powers come from?
All Mythians receive their powers from the island. In order for Mythians and the island to survive it is important for all Mythians to use their powers. The energy of the island moves in a cycle from the island, to the Mythians and back to the island again.
How do powers affect the character?
Power on Mythia is not unlimited. Using powers will cause one or more of the following nausea, fatigue, dizziness, blurred vision. The more power used the stronger and longer the effect will last. It is the player's choice of what side effects your character feels after using powers.

Minor amount of power used:
After using her power to directly heal a minor cut, the doctor would need to rest for thirty minutes ( RP Time , not rl time). Once she had time to relax the doctor slowly got up and fixed a small snack before starting to work again.
Large amount of power used:
He used his wind power to blow away those that were attacking him. For the time he was safe, as the adrenaline left, he slowly slid to the floor and passed out for a few hours.
We have not made a point or system for players to track how long the side effects work. We ask that all play fair with this rule an play accordingly
