We have basic combat rules that apply to any type of combat fighting on the sim.
- Modern weapons are not permitted. If they were not invented in Ancient Rome, then they are not allowed. For example Guns.
- A fight scene of 6 or more role-players should contact an Admin.
- Teleporting players into a scene at the last minute is not allowed. If they wish to join they need to role-play entering the scene and may enter as long as the scene as not already been closed.
- If a player crashes during a fight scene, they have thirty minutes to return to the fight before they are considered to have retreated. They may not rejoin the fight after being absent thirty minutes.

Dice Fighting in Mythia
THE BASICS
- Dice is the preferred way of fighting on sim. (Players can choose to dice fight or to role-play fight in one on one combat)
- Dice fighting will be used in arena matches
- Dice should be used for anytime a power is used, unless the other player has consented to not rolling for the outcome of the power. This is to keep it fair. Your powers will not work 100% so be ready if you lose the dice roll.
- We use a d10 dice in Mythia.
ARENA AND GROUP FIGHTS
Dice roll will be used in arena events.
Dice will be used when 6 or more players are involved.
This will help limit the number of hours a fight last.

POSTING IN COMBAT
- A dice roll will be used to determine which player gets to post first.
- Follow the Model above in how to roll the dice.
- This will continue until three solids hits on one player is made. The person that takes the three hits is down.
NOTES ON COMBAT
SEE LINKS BELOW FOR MORE INFORMATION ON HOW TO DICE FIGHT IN MYTHIA, EXAMPLES AND WHERE TO GET DICE.
- We recommend that when fighting ask a moderator to OOC Observe the fight.
- When the large fights start, pair off with one person. Whoever wins the fights will wait to challenge the next winner if they are on the opposite team as you.
- Last team member standing wins the fight for the whole team.
- Set limits as what you can or cannot do in your fight party before the first attack is made. The limits must be within the reason and cannot be things to avoid consequences. Example: If you are fighting in the capture zone, you cannot have no capture as a limit.
- When fighting with more than one person..
- In a group fight once the first dice is rolled, the scene is closed to new fighters jumping in.
- In an arena fight or group fight, the final blow will incapacity the losing player.
- if one player is fighting more than one players. PLAYER #1 post one action to the other players involved. Everyone rolls. The other players post according to the outcomes of the dice.
- In group fight, be clear about who you are fighting with by using their character name.

Roleplay Fighting
Role-play fighting is when players use their words to determine the out come of a fight.
- Role-play fighting will only be used in one of one fighting
- If Player#1 chooses dice and Player #2 role-play, the dice wins. Player #2 has the choice to stay and dice fight or leave the scene.
How To Roleplay Fight
RULES OF ROLE-PLAY FIGHTING
- We recommend asking an admin to serve as a moderator the fight scene
- For hand-to-hand combat, no more than two strikes (actions) per one post.
- Combat posts MUST describe the character either attempting, aiming, or otherwise trying to hit their mark, with the resulting success and consequence of the action left to the receiving player.
- Once a post in a fight scene has been made, no one may enter into the fight unless agreed on by both
- NO GOD-MODING : A player describe the damage done by a strike or action resulting from a strike.
- When leaving the scene an exit post most be made and the other player has time to respond e
THE FIGHT
The outcome of a role-play fights is up to the players fighting. It is important to note that if both player continuously dodge the hits, the fight can go on for hours.
- Player#1 attempts to attack and cause damage in the first post.
- Player #2 responds to the action done against them by adding in their block, if they took damage and then their next move.

Group Fights, Storyteller Fights, and Arena Fights
GROUP FIGHTS RULES
- A fight scene of 6 or more players is considered a group fight. An admin needs to be contacted to serve as a moderator.
- Dice will be used to determine the outcomes of the fight.
- After one post round of a fight, the scene is closed. Other players may come watch but cannot jump into the scene.
- Players should pair off in order to fight. Post order should not be kept unless the group fight is being led by a story teller.
- Players should keep post to 5 minutes or less. If a player violates this more than once during a group fight, the moderator can choose to give that player a hit.
- Stay within you characters limits if you are not sure, IM a Admin and ask
Storyteller Fight Rules
A storyteller fight is when storyteller is leading a group of role-players in a story line. The storyteller may attack the players with an NPC villain or lead the players on a quest. This type of fight will follow the same rules as a group fight. In a story teller fight post order is kept so the storyteller can provide role-play for all players involved.

- Arena Fights may be one on one fights or group fights. This will be worked out prior to the event by the ludus and gladiators.
- Arena fights can also include fighting animals

- If the Ludus trainer is unavailable, an Admin can step in as acting moderator or assign another player to moderate the fights.
Other Forms of Combat
ZSC METER
Those that like to meter fight may do so but only in the arena.
Both participants must be willing agree to using the meter.
The meter may not be used on the sim floor for capture fights (the meter is not required).
Meter fights will be held at a separate time from dice fights.
Roleplay is expected at the beginning and end of any meter fight in the arena.
Enhanced weapons are not allowed. If it is found that you are using a weapon that can't be beat, you are in danger of being told you may not fight in the arena anymore.

If a problem arises during a fight scene......
- Pause this scene. This needs to be done in open chat so all players involved in the scene (even if they are just watching) are aware there is a problem and the scene has been paused.
- Once the scene is paused contact an Admin. (if one is not already there)
- Once the Admin arrives provide the logs of the fight and any relevant information.
Conversation during the Dispute
Please keep all conversation civil. We recommend for all players to keep the conversation in local chat. There is no reason to get nasty or mean in a players private message. This only leads to drama. As my momma told me, if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. We are adults and we do expect all players to act as such.
We ask that players that are there just watching and not directly involved in the dispute to not get involved. If any a situation of a paused rp scene take all chat to ims. If you need to say something that is relevant to the issue (not just an opinion) please send an im to the admin on the scene. This will help the dispute get solved faster.
If there are several players needing to talk. The Admin will make sure each person get an opportunity. Please type ##### if you have something to add and you will be told when it is your turn.
If needed the players involved may be pulled away from the crowd. If this happens those in the scene will be given the outcome as soon as it is resolved. It will be a fade to black situation.

ADMINS ROLE IN DISPUTES
As Admin we will remain neutral in the dispute. We will also try and resolve the issue quickly.
Admins should be given time to look over the role-play logs.
If the Admin has determined the situation will take awhile to resolve or needs to seek council with other Admins, they have can call a Fade to Black on the scene and ask the parties directly involved to come with them to an ooc area for a more private discussion.
In this situation we do ask players keep a cool head and being aggressive towards an admin could have the opposite effect.
We do reserve the right to ask players to no participate in fights scenes if having issues in them becomes a reoccurring problem. Players that are not willing to listen and blow up at the Admin may also receive a role-play warning.

If an Admin is not available...
The players have 2 choices..
1. Pause the scene till an Admin is available
or
2. End the scene both battered in a tie. Both players must agree.
Voiding A Scene
*In regards to just voiding a scene this is not allowed. Scenes involve anyone who is there including witness. A scene may not be voided without admin approval. On Mythia voiding a scene is a last resort and is not taken lightly.
