The healing power allows a character to heal an injured player.
- Healing Powers can be used to heal physical and mental injuries
- Potions and Herbal Remedies infused with magical energy
- Instead of healing a doctor can use their power to take away about 75% for 3 hours. After 3 hours the healer will need to redo the pain energy.
- Limited power- we have limited this ability to no more then 4 at this time.
- Skills are needed in order to do non magical healing this includes making potions.
WHAT IS DOES HAVING A LIMITED POWER ROLE?
Do the popularity or the ability of the power we have chosen to limit how many players can have that particular power. This is done to allow more roleplay for the players that are using a power in a specific job and promote more roleplay with more people. As the player base grows we will be allowing more players to have these powers. Limited roles require a roleplay commitment in order to have them. All limited powers require a players to be on sim and roleplaying 3 to 4 times a week (a minimum of hour each day). This is a first come first serve situation. As a player and you need to go mia due to RL please let an admin though. after a week of not being on sim the player risk having the power being taken from them.

Who and what can I heal?
As a healer you will be able to heal any person on the island. From beast, to human to Domaci your power will allow you to help anyone that is hurt. If you are wanting to heal a normal forest animal (npc) you are welcome to however, it is recommended that you study up on the different animals in the library so you have some knowledge of animals you have never seen before.
At this time there are only two things a healer cannot do (this may change over the course of roleplay)
A healer may not cause regeneration of a missing limb or bring back the dead.
For Example: Harpies naturally regenerates a cut off wing. A healer can help them by taking away the pain, losing the wing has caused them.

Players with this power have the start out with the ability to directly heal (hands on healing) any physical injury. This includes broken bones, cuts, and bruises etc.
The Healer can heal up to 2 people a day using their power.

Pain Healing
A person with this power can use their power to take away up to 75% of a players pain, instead of healing them. (Could be the player doesn't want to be healed but stopping the pain would be useful in moving them) Every three hours, the power will need to be used in order to keep the pain down. Healers may use this form up healing for up to 6 people in a day. (At pain healing for 6 people, the healer will lose one of their instant heal attempts due to energy drain. This power will not change as you level up.
A person with this power can use their power to take away up to 75% of a players pain, instead of healing them. (Could be the player doesn't want to be healed but stopping the pain would be useful in moving them) Every three hours, the power will need to be used in order to keep the pain down. Healers may use this form up healing for up to 6 people in a day. (At pain healing for 6 people, the healer will lose one of their instant heal attempts due to energy drain. This power will not change as you level up.
Potions and Poultices
In order to make potions, herbal remedies or poultices, your character will need to have chosen these skills. If not you will need to find another player that can make herbal remedies for you. (The power doesn't give you this skill).
When using a premade potion, poultice or herbal remedies you will be pushing your power into the liquid or lotion you to increase the healing those items normal can do. This use makes the mixtures stronger then they normal arm (half the heal time then without). This way of healing doesn't require the amount of energy as direct healing and will allow a healer to strengthen up to 4 potions, poultices or herbal remedies a day.
In order to make potions, herbal remedies or poultices, your character will need to have chosen these skills. If not you will need to find another player that can make herbal remedies for you. (The power doesn't give you this skill).

*A partially healed mental injury will be determined by what type of mental injury the person has received. For example a person that has had their memory erased will only get it partially back or changeling that has stayed to long in animal form, will revert back to human but will still show signs of that animal in human form.. such as randomly howling if they were stuck as a wolf.

Side Note
A healer may also heal those that arrive on the island sick, may even quarantine that person till they are better. Healing energy will stop the spread of the disease but will still require the patient to rest and sleep off any fever etc. This is a side note as not to many people like to roleplay being sick.
Pregnancy
As a healer you will get to the deliver the babies, if you work in the Medicus. At this time the babies are taken from their mother immediately. A healer may provide pain relief to anyone having a baby.

- A healer can magically infuse 4 potions or poultices a day.

HOW DO I USE THE HEALING POWER?
- Two post to use your power
- First post is pulling the energy to you
- Pushing your power towards whatever you are using it on.
- How you heal is up to you.. just push energy, say a few words, use potions and such, that is all up to you.
- The healer can post an attempt at what the healing power would do but the injured person makes the decision. The higher the winning roll the stronger the healing should be (We asked that the injured players be respectful and not try to downplay this power. If you don't want to be healed refuse the healing before the Healer tries to heal you. (It is best to discuss the terms of healing like the amount before the healing begins)
- Example: A player is found with a broken leg (Healer should ooc ask if the want to be healed and to the degree of healing) The post is made, the dice is rolled. The injured player determines if it is instance or partially heal (maybe they want the limp for a few days).
- Example: Player is found unconscious (healer will ask ooc the level of healing the player wants done). The post is made dice is rolled. The injured player post determines if it is instance or partially healed. (The players injury is healed but they may not wake up just yet)
- Healing Power is one of the only powers that can be done with one roll. This means the both player rolls. The higher rolls wins. Healer gets the higher role, healing takes place. Injured person wins the roll no healing.
- Players can choose to keep trying up to three rolls. First player to win 2 out of 3 rolls wins. Post should be made in between as the healer keeps trying to heal. After three rolls, the healer will need to rest if they are not successful in healing for at least 2 hours.
SKILLS AND HEALING
Not all healers will have the Healing power. Healers can be non magical as long as they have the skills to back them up. A player with the healing power is able to heal an injured player but if the don't have the skills to make potions, herbal remedies or knowledge in how to heal without magic they will not be able to it. The power just lets you manipulate energy to heal..it doesn't give you knowledge in how to heal.
If the person with an power doesn't have herbal knowledge, they will have to seek out another player to make choose the herbs and make the potions for them.
If the powers with the power can only partially heal a person because it is a life threatening injury, the rest of the healing will have to be done by another player with the skills (surgery, stitches)
* Players can continues to earn skills through roleplay and level them up. All new skills are bought through roleplay activities and leveled up using points. We ask that any new skill should be learned in character as they obtain them.
If the person with an power doesn't have herbal knowledge, they will have to seek out another player to make choose the herbs and make the potions for them.

MAGICAL HEALING POTIONS
You must work in the healing profession and have the skills necessary to make healing potions. Players can earn these skills through roleplay activities and make them stronger using their points. Learning new skills requires a player learning how to do it in-character with a person that is already a master at that skill. ( Using healing potions, rememdies or skills other then very basic is against the law in Mythian. If a player is hurt they must go to the Medicus.) Your player must have the skills in order to make these potions. The magic comes from pushing energy into the lotion or liquid. All new potions should be taken to the Medicus for testing before using on other people. (See Medicus section link at the bottom of this page for more information.)

Power on Mythia is not unlimited. Using powers will cause one or more of the following nausea, fatigue, dizziness, blurred vision. The more power used the stronger and longer the effect will last. It is the player's choice of what side effects your character feels after using powers.
